The population of approximately 2 million people.
The Gambia is home to diverse ethnic groups, each contributing to a vibrant cultural mosaic of music, dance, art, and traditions.
English Language: As a former British colony, English is the official language, facilitating communication and international relations.
The term ‘Mbolo,’ meaning ‘Join’ or ‘Come together’ in the African language Wolof.
Mbolo embodies the spirit of synergy as we work towards sustainable social and human development, respecting cultural, social, and environmental values.

FANDEMA
Mbolo’s flagship project, Fandema, empowers 650 vulnerable young women from 100 rural villages in Tujereng, promoting self-development through entrepreneurship and renewable energy while respecting cultural values.
LIGHTNING THE FUTURE
Lighting the Future uplifts vulnerable young Gambian women through comprehensive training in renewable energy and business management, enabling them to harness solar power for income-generating activities. Our efforts create a positive ripple effect, alleviating poverty and fostering a brighter, sustainable future for communities.
TUJERENG JAMBANDOO
Tujereng Jambandoo pioneers an integrated municipal solid waste system, empowering policymakers and promoting waste management hierarchy.
FINPS
FINPS is the schooling project that offers affordable education and guarantees quality knowledge through creative and collaborative learning. This takes place within an ideal environment that caters to each student so that they can discover and enhance their talents and interests.
RESPONSIBLE TOURISM
Fandema develops responsible tourism alternatives that promote cultural exchange so that visitors can live an authentic experience through coexistence, and locals can develop in this sector.
